Isn’t Pinterest the best? I love browsing the craft and DIY boards and seeing all the things that creative people have made – it’s so inspiring.
Today’s September Short Project is based on a pin I’ve seen floating around for a long time: this beautiful ‘I love you because…. frame‘ that you can customise with your own sweet messages, shown on Lulabelle Blog. As you can see, her photography and staging skills are slightly better than mine. It’s always good to have something to aspire to….
This project could not be easier, and it looks so lovely. All you need is a photo frame, some paper or fabric for a background and a whiteboard marker. You can either print or write your ‘I love you because…’. I chose to write mine, because I’ll take any chance I get to practice my lettering. It’s yet to have an effect on my messy handwriting, but maybe one day.
I bought my frame for $7 from Kmart, and used some patterned scrapbook paper that I already had in my stash for the background.
The best part about this project is getting to think up lovely messages to write – it’s a great way to remind your partner, family or friends that you love them.
So simple and pretty. I love Pinterest especially for DIYs.. Great post!
Thanks :) I appreciate you stopping by and commenting!
I love you because you inspire me to be creative! :)
Awww, I love you because you are always thinking of other people and finding ways to make them feel special :)
Super cute!!! I have the same thing pinned but haven’t attempted it, I might have to try now.
Hi there! It’s Lianne from Lulabelle Blog. I had taken a very long break from blogging and I’m about to start it up again and I saw this sweet post you made showcasing your own super cute message board! I just wanted to drop a line and say thank you for the shout out and I hope you enjoyed the project as much as we did! Have a lovely day!
