I finished work today, woo hoo! It was a great day actually, I felt very full of Christmas spirit. We watched The Santa Clause tonight while I worked on this glitter tree decoration. I hadn’t seen it in years, it was really nice. :)

3 days until Christmas! We’re at the pointy end now! Mario and I managed to knock out the last few presents we wanted to buy today, so I’m feeling pretty on top of things – how about you?

Today’s project is, without a doubt, my favourite Christmas project I’ve done. I’ve been working on it for a few weeks now, and it feels wonderful to be finished!

I know, I know, this blog is late. It’s Sunday. If I wish you a happy 8th day of Christmas, I will be lying. I don’t care though, I’m going to wish it anyway. Happy 8th day of Christmas!

I have a very good excuse for being late though – our recipe for today (yesterday) was something I made to take to my Mum’s Christmas party last night! It was a raging party and we didn’t get home until after 2am, so by then it was already too late…

Anyway, with the benefit of being able to see the ‘future’, I can honestly tell you that this ham was a HIT. The entire 5 and a half kilos of it was devoured in no time – I couldn’t believe it. A bunch of people asked for the recipe, and (although you should never admit this!) it was nice to be able to tell them how easy it was.

Happy 7th day of Christmas! Is this your last day of work before the holidays? I’ve been madly scrambling today, trying to get everything done so I don’t need to go in to work on Monday! My brain feels like mush!

Christmas Cookies

Fourth day of Christmas, ahhhhh! Where is the time going?? It’s the most wonderful time of the year and it’s going by way too fast!

I wanted to share this recipe with you today because these cookies are the perfect thing to take along to a holiday party – they look impressive (which is why we do this, right?) and they taste DELICIOUS. They are soft and buttery, without being too heavy. I’ve never been a huge fan of shortbread, but these cookies have converted me.

It’s the third day of Christmas, and I had a work Christmas party this afternoon. Definitely feeling full of the Christmas spirit right now! Champagne and chocolate = Christmas spirit, right?

Luckily, today’s project is one that I prepared earlier.
