I finished work today, woo hoo! It was a great day actually, I felt very full of Christmas spirit. We watched The Santa Clause tonight while I worked on this glitter tree decoration. I hadn’t seen it in years, it was really nice. :)
On the 10th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me….
A Gorgeous Glitter Tree
Is anyone else a bit addicted to buying Christmas things during the after-Christmas sales? Last year I got a whole bunch of things (including this chipboard tree from Kaisercraft), and it was an awesome surprise when I opened up my Christmas cupboard this year, because I had forgotten all about them!
One of the things I love about Kaisercraft products is that they are like a blank slate – you can decorate them however you like. I decided to go with traditional colours for my tree, but you could ‘branch’ out if you wanted to (see what I did there??). As a matter of fact, the bell garland I made last week was from Kaisercraft too, I can’t remember if I mentioned that.
I had a really good time decorating this tree. I painted it green with acrylic paint, then added some gold paint for the birds and flowers. I used glitter glue from Riot Art for the accents, which was so fun. I just love that stuff.
I am very pleased with how it turned out, and it’s a lucky thing too, because we really don’t have many Christmas decorations around the place (ha ha)!
Anyway, I have a very full day of crafting planned for tomorrow, now that I have finished work, and I am SO excited about tomorrow’s project – I can’t wait to share it with you. Until then, happy Christmas planning!
Have you missed one of the last 8 days of Christmas? Check them out right now!
That could be a table center piece and as you mentioned you can decorate as required for the color scheme. Lovely :D
