3 days until Christmas! We’re at the pointy end now! Mario and I managed to knock out the last few presents we wanted to buy today, so I’m feeling pretty on top of things – how about you?

Today’s project is, without a doubt, my favourite Christmas project I’ve done. I’ve been working on it for a few weeks now, and it feels wonderful to be finished!

Jingle Bell Rock

Jingle Bell RockI had a bit of a moment yesterday when I realised that there’s only 12 days left till Christmas! I don’t feel like I’ve had nearly enough time to enjoy all my Christmas crafts! It’s clear that I need to get motivated, and what better way to do that than by sharing an awesome Christmas craft or recipe with you every day for the next 12 days? That’s right folks, fasten your seat belts, because this is going to be a daily blog from now until Christmas Eve! Continue reading

Pretty in Polaroid – September Short Projects

pretty in polaroidThis project is all about photos, and their best friend, Photoshop. Polaroid and Instagram-style photos are all the rage at the moment, with some stores (I’m looking at you, Kikki K) offering to print your pictures in this style for an exorbitant price – I’ve seen places quoting $10 for 10 photos. I used to work in a photo printing centre, so I knew I could do better than that. Continue reading

christmas wreath headerThis year was the first Christmas that we have spent in our house. We didn’t have much in the way of decorations, and we particularly wanted a beautiful wreath for our front door. I saw so many lovely ones around the shops, but with the price tags in the vicinity of $50 and up, I thought I could do a bit better by making my own. As luck would have it, by the time I got around to it, many Christmas decorations were already on sale (yes, this was still 2 weeks before Christmas!). In fact, this would be a great project to make now in preparation for next year, what with all the lonely decorations still hanging around in stores with their little 50% off stickers! I put this one together for around $20. Continue reading

Christmas Stocking (Get it??)

I had the best weekend this weekend. I needed to get a couple of things from the shopping centre, and I took a few gift vouchers along that I’ve been saving up. Well, it turns out that I’m by no means the only one who has been getting in to Christmas  a little early this year – there were Christmas bits and pieces everywhere! I walked out with quite a few awesome craft supplies, and it felt especially great because I used my vouchers instead of “real” money! Continue reading
