Mario and I got our first real Christmas tree this year, to celebrate our first Christmas as a married couple. It smells so lovely, although I have to admit I keep worrying about it dying before Christmas, especially with a heat wave predicted in the next few days! So far it is as lush and green as the day we brought it home though. :) Continue reading

D.I.Y. Geometric Heart Wall Art
Hello my lovelies! Today I am sharing a project I made a couple of weeks ago as part of my campaign to have a brighter, tidier bedroom. Project: Tidy Room has been a success for almost three weeks now, and it feels great!
Merry Christmas!
On the 12th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…
A Christmassy Crochet Reindeer!
I crocheted this sweet little guy from an awesome pattern by K4tt on Ravelry. He was a very easy and fun last 12 days of Christmas project. :)
Gorgeous Glitter Tree
I finished work today, woo hoo! It was a great day actually, I felt very full of Christmas spirit. We watched The Santa Clause tonight while I worked on this glitter tree decoration. I hadn’t seen it in years, it was really nice. :)

Merry & Bright Christmas Marquee Sign
3 days until Christmas! We’re at the pointy end now! Mario and I managed to knock out the last few presents we wanted to buy today, so I’m feeling pretty on top of things – how about you?
Today’s project is, without a doubt, my favourite Christmas project I’ve done. I’ve been working on it for a few weeks now, and it feels wonderful to be finished!
On the 9th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me….

Sorry I’ve been MIA for the last 10 days, I’ve been super busy! Why, you ask? Well, in fact, we had our engagement party last weekend! So, of course, I had to (yes, had to) do lots of craft projects to prepare!
I’m a bit proud of the project I’m sharing with you today. I came up with it all by myself (i.e., no pinspiration)! I bought the chevron fabric ages and ages ago online, thinking that I might make a cushion out of it. It wasn’t as thick as I had anticipated, however, and it wouldn’t really have worked. I’m pretty excited that I finally got to use it. Continue reading
D.I.Y. Crackle Paint: Cabinet Makeover
I tried for so long to come up with a catchy name for this post, but nothing doing! So I stuck with a nice factual description of what I’m about to show you. Sorry, I know that’s boring. ;) Continue reading
D.I.Y. Christmas Wreath
This year was the first Christmas that we have spent in our house. We didn’t have much in the way of decorations, and we particularly wanted a beautiful wreath for our front door. I saw so many lovely ones around the shops, but with the price tags in the vicinity of $50 and up, I thought I could do a bit better by making my own. As luck would have it, by the time I got around to it, many Christmas decorations were already on sale (yes, this was still 2 weeks before Christmas!). In fact, this would be a great project to make now in preparation for next year, what with all the lonely decorations still hanging around in stores with their little 50% off stickers! I put this one together for around $20. Continue reading
